The Division of Pediatric Immunology and Rheumatology offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for infants at risk of developing HIV and infants, children, and adolescents with HIV. We also provide consultative care for children and adolescents with other rheumatologic disorders.
The mission of the University of Maryland, Baltimore Pediatric AIDS Program is the provision of clinical care, the conduct of research and the pursuit of educational activities in the areas of pediatric HIV infection of children. The goal of our program is to provide the comprehensive care necessary for HIV-infected infants, children and youth to succeed and become productive and healthy members of the community.
The Division of Immunology is one of the NICHD-funded Clinical trials sites for International Maternal, Pediatric, and Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT). We offer access to state-of-the-art HIV clinical trails through the IMPAACT Network.
